Re: Everything in proper order

My students typically do application/prints/class, then submit the LTC-100 the next day. Some recent students have gotten their plastic in 10-12 days.

Re: NYT considers CZ's role in providing poaching rifles to Africa.

No different than blaming Glock for an armed robbery. As long as the mfg sells through licensed dealers, they can't know where they go after that. Major mfgs are not going to risk their reputations by selling through back-channels.

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

I think the charge should be manslaughter. She made a terrible mistake, and should go to prison, but if she had been at her apartment, we wouldn't be having this debate. It was a mistake that many people might make, but was not intentional murder. Mistakes in judgement do not qualify. The main reaso...

Re: 22 November, 1963

I was a senior in HS, at lunch in the cafeteria. The principal came on the loud speaker and announced it. It hit us especially hard, as we were in Fort Worth, and JFK had just spoken at a luncheon downtown, then driven to Dallas. A visit by the President was a big deal back then, and everyone was ve...

Re: HB 95 - Requires gun shops to report attempted buys. Makes knowingly attempt-to-buys illegal

If a person had some issue in their past, and were not sure if that would be a problem, they would be afraid to even try, as they could be arrested. That's why the Socialists want this passed. There should be a process for someone to check whether they could pass the required BG check. It's not alwa...

Re: Star BM 9mm Pistol

The Star BM is a variant of the Star B, which is an exact clone (Spain) of a CZ 75 Compact, except not a double-action. These are very nice all-steel guns, with a good size and weight. The BM is a slightly different design, but you can see the Eastern European influence on the shape. They are no lon...

Re: Is this an antique gun part???

That looks like a trigger guard to me, of the type that is not permanently attached at both ends. In that case, pulling one end down performs some action, like unlocking the action.

Re: In n Out Burger VS Whataburger

Before you get too excited about Whataburger, remember they are NOT 2nd Amendment-friendly. They have a policy against OC, which is fine, but they refuse to post, because they want to appear gun-friendly. They think it is better business to embarrass OCers when they come in.

Re: Judging books by their covers

Being safety-conscious means being slightly paranoid. When I stop to get gas, or come out of a store, I survey the parking lot. I do not plan to let trouble sneak up on me.

I think in the worst case scenario, you would be ineligible for 10 years, but you are well past that now.
