Re: 2A Interview with popular magazine
I don’t know how I missed this thread earlier, but very well done on that recording. I’m curious as to how Time got ahold of you? Thanks. Last year I got scuba certified, and one of the other students there was a writer/podcast director for Lone Star Gun Rights (Derek Wills). Obviously me being a f...

Re: 2A Interview with popular magazine
Hello Everyone, sorry I fell off the radar here, lots of good information and advice, I read as much as I could before going in/in the waitroom. The interview was with Time Magazine. It turned out to be a photo shoot, then the interview was actually the opportunity to say literally whatever we wante...

You are correct it does cover parking lot laws. However, it does not address S.B. No 1566 Sec 37.0815 Transportation or Storage of Firearm and Ammunition by License Holder in School Parking Lot. Effective September 1, 2017. Correct. You can see that here https://statutes.capitol.texas.gov/SOTWDocs/...

Pro 2A or Conservative Psychologists/Psychiatrists
All, I have student here in Houston who is having a hard time with his personal life. He has told me he needs to speak with someone professionally about it, and at the same time, he does not want to go to someone who is anti-2A and potentially lose his right to carry (not exactly easy to figure out ...

Re: Store Owner Charged with Attempted Murder
Theft in the nighttime? :confused5 (Texas law question) A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property: (1) if he would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.41 ; and (2) when and to the degree he reasonably believe...

Re: Reporting Multiple Sales
I sure wish I could afford to buy multiple guns all at once. :biggrinjester: Somebody was selling $30 lowers a while back. :thumbs2: Primary Arms in Houston had stripped Anderson lowers for $29.99! I bought 3, picked up in person, for under $100. If you aren't on some kind of list by now, you aren'...

Re: Are our glory days behind us? Yes, I think they are.
I'm 30. We're not lying over and dying. There are still those of us, even millennials, who hold onto traditional values. Things are changing, and not usually for the better, but the USA is still the most free country on the planet. Believe it or not, Trump is/was not our last chance. He is a busines...

Alright, got my callsign a while back: KG5ZOO. Currently have a baofeng UV-5R with 771 antenna, and a TYT TH9800 quadband transceiver with a TRAM 1480 antenna in the attic. I like the crossband repeater function for emergencies - can use my handheld in my neighborhood and hit my base station which ...

Hard to learn how to really use it if you don't use it!Richbirdhunter wrote: ↑Sun Jun 17, 2018 9:51 pm I have a small hand held ham radio, I keep it in my bug out bag. I’m not licensed to use it but it’s nice to have it in a pinch.
Get your license (not difficult at all) and get on the air.

Re: Where to begin with a HAM radio?
During Harvey here in Houston, civilian rescue efforts probably outpaced military/police rescues. The success rate greatly depended on comms - most people were able to drop pins of gps coordinates on their phones to groups with the same apps and get picked up. We got mostly rain here - had we experi...

How in the world can your son have the time and privacy to build a pipe bomb while living with you? Seriously? Where your parents with you 24x7 when you were a teen? A couple of hours on the internet one day, a trip to home depot on another, then a couple of hours putting them together! How do teen...
