Re: Employers banning guns in parking lots

The issue is a matter of natural law and man's law.

Self defense is a right under both natural & man's law. Property rights superseding self defense is illogical.

Re: Hearing aids and indoor gun ranges

I wear 'in the ear' digital aids. The aids have 5 programs for different environments, plus a remote that allows me to change programs and volume. Though I sometimes wear ear plugs, I generally wear muffs over the aids & either switch to a lower amp channel or turn the aids off when shooting. Th...

Re: France suffers another attack.

Sean was one of my two bosses at my previous employer. Lovely family and great Texans. RIP and prayers of safe passage for Sean and Brandon into the arms of the Lord. :( It's becoming all too common for us to be personally affected by acts of terrorism. Victor Lovelady graduated HS with my brother....

"Given the goals of rogue states and terrorists, the United States can no longer solely rely on a reactive posture as we have in the past. The inability to deter a potential attacker, the immediacy of today's threats, and the magnitude of potential harm that could be caused by our adversaries'...

Re: Free Newspapers Littering Lawn

I wonder what would happen if my neighbor complained to the police because I threw :evil2: the papers in his yard?

(Bottom line is it is my yard/driveway. It is for my use, not for someone to use for advertising.)

Re: Free Newspapers Littering Lawn

Do you know what time and day of the week they are throwing them? Perhaps meeting with the driver will get you some relief . Especially if you just happen to be OC at the time. Maybe give him written notice that if he throws another paper in your driveway you will turn him over to the autho...

Suicide By Police or What?

Be advised. This is not for the faint hearted & there is offensive language. The video shows a young man being shot several times as he ignores repeated orders from the police. It's tough -I cringed & caught myself holding my breath before each shot. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3...

Re: KPRC Houston: Restaurant, customers robbed in broad daylight in River Oaks area

And that's a personal choice that you have every right to make in light of your family and circumstances. That said, Texas law allows persons to defend other people (TPC §9.33) and to prevent certain crimes being committed, whether against you or other persons. (TPC §9.32(a)(2)) The law doesn't req...

FL: Idiot Target Shooting Neighbor Kills Neighbor

Shooter just may beat the criminal rap :mad5 though I doubt he wont be so lucky in civil court. The .22-caliber bullet that killed 48-year-old David Morse on May 16 was fired by someone target shooting in the backyard of 4632 N. Shade Ave. The shooters had hung a target on a wooden fence at the rear...

Re: Pokemon Go! as a nuisance to other outdoor activities

I enjoy outdoor photography on a regular basis. Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land is one of the most popular photography destinations, and I was quite distressed when I saw a video of Pokemon Go! players parking "wherever" and overrunning the place. It's also a popular cycling location, and...
