Re: Question about Church Safety Teams
jmra, I only have time to answer part now but I think your premise prior to the change in law is not correct. But you bring up some interesting points about the change in la 1. Many functions performed by church members such as greeters, ushers, parking lot teams could be interpreted as "secur...

Question about Church Safety Teams
Please forgive me if this topic is being discussed elsewhere and if it is direct me to it and close this thread. I had a very long in depth conversation with a person leading a church safety team this evening and I need some help clearing up some things. Before the last legislative session, this per...

Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter
Prayers to the family of the fallen and injured. ATTA BOY to the LEOs' and responders. scanned through and have a few questions. Not to irritate, just to clarify or get my head around how this dude felt to be this evil. he was up on 32nd floor (320 to 400 feet up). that put him at what 1000 to 1500...

I believe the sheriff said she was in Japan during the news conference.Jnazee wrote:His brother said he had no political affiliation and no religious affiliation. Wouldn't someone who didn't know who God really is, be an easy convert? And what country is his girlfriend in?

Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter
Per press conference on fox, sheriff estimated shots were 500 yards. Doesn’t look like external modification to full auto. Either internal modification or manufactured full auto. Timed several videos of M16s going thru a 30 round mag and compared to video of shooting. Appears to be 4 times the durat...

Re: Property straddles state line
Make sure you're standing on the right side when you shoot. Seriously though, if it were me I'd take a defensive position in the house and call police for someone trespassing in the backyard. If they cross the line and try to enter the house all bets are off. The real question is which police depar...

Re: Accurate statistics
A bit dated, but still illustrates the point: According to the CDC, there are roughly 32,000 deaths a year in the US and declining from "Gun Violence." Let's break those numbers down: 60% are suicides. That's 19,200 3% are accidental. That's 960 4% are justified. That's 1,280 33% are hom...

Re: Gander Mountain Bankruptcy
The last time I entered one of their stores was during the great ammo shortage. I stood at the counter and watched the manager pull boxes of ammo out of a Walmart bag and mark them up 300%. IMHO, that mindset has put them in the financial ruin they currently find themselves.

Re: One lucky guy
Had fun at the show. Ended up behind a couple who had two extra tickets and gave them to us. How cool is that? Did some field research on 300 blackout uppers and AR10s (man those things are heavy). Also looked at 300 blackout ammo options. Pretty much decided on a 300 BO upper as my next purchase bu...
