Re: Intruder runs through glass to escape armed homeowner

The Chronicle goes above and beyond in helping to keep Houston safe. He is described as a well-groomed, clean-shaven man with short hair who is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt with white lettering, dark shorts and dark-colored tennis shoes. M...

Re: Animal control officer fired after shooting at dog

If I were this guy I would probably have done the same things he did, except for putting the uniform on (and hopefully the missing part too). The uniform was the only part where I think he went off course. Once he chose to put on the uniform he stopped doing what he was doing as a concerned father ...

Re: Animal control officer fired after shooting at dog

Uniform or not, the dog owner deserved some harsh words for letting her pitt bull run loose in a residential neighborhood. Mr. McAvin may be an animal control officer, but he is also a father. His 5 year old, or him, could have been seriously injured. My only criticism of Mr. McAvin is that he did n...

Re: Mexico reconquers California? Absolut drinks to that!

Modern-day Mexico tends to forget that Texas was almost completely unsettled, until Americans settlers came in the 1820's and 1830's. http://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/MM/npm1.html I never understood why Mexico wants the land back, they can't manage the land and abundant resources t...

There has been a lot of pirate activity off of Somalia in recent years. I believe I could have found another route for my luxury yacht.

Re: Can you shoot a dog if attacks you or your family?

In my view, pit bulls are dangerous animals. If one were to wander on to my spread, I would probably shoot it on sight unless it immediately turned and ran off when it spotted me. Legal? Don't know and don't particularly care. I don't want any damgerous animals on my property period. Pit bulls, coy...

Re: Moved Due To Criminal Element - Anyone Else?

I work with a lady who lives out some ways away from Huntsville. I forgot the city she told me she lives in, but she lives in a neighborhood where she says, and I am not making this up, that the house behind her cooks Meth so much, that you actually see a fog creeping out of the house and moving ac...

Re: Caucus Count

There seems to be a lot of bad blood between the Clinton/Obama camps recently. I don't see Hillary accepting the VP role. She has assumed she would be the next President for the last 8 years. I think Hillary is more "beatable" than Obama. However, as the election gets nearer I think Obama'...

Re: Mexican military routinely crosses our borders and....

But it is easy to accidentally cross the border in other places. The Rio Grande is only the border in Texas. It turns north at the Texas New Mexico border. From New Mexico to California the border is an imaginary line in the sand. And in some areas, the desert is very barren and the line is easy to...

locknload,

Great post. Do you mind forwarding that to Pres. Bush, Gov. Perry, and the presidential candidates? Surely if they knew about this, they would do something about it.
