Re: New .38 Spl Colt Revolver

I'll be in line for this. My most prized gun is my Dad's mint condition python with 2 1/2" barrel. I also have his old cobra, also mint. I would love a Colt revolver I could carry and shoot. It is nice to see wheel guns getting some love from concealed carry crowd.

Re: Question: Proper Handgun Grip For Self-Defense?

As others have already noted, there are so many variables that identifying one proper grip is impossible. Getting some good training from a reputable instructor can go a long way and will introduce you to some different techniques and scenarios. Being alert and aware of your surroundings makes all t...

Re: What was under your Christmas tree this year?

My wife doesn't buy me guns and I don't buy her clothes/shoes. We both know exactly what we want so we buy for ourselves in those departments. She did get me a beautifully bound copy of The Federalist Papers which was a pretty cool gift! She knows me well!

Re: Once again Yankee marshal strikes

I saw one of his videos and thought it was satire. I tried another video and couldn't tell. That was enough for me. Unfortunately he seems to get a lot of views. If knowledgeable people watch him for laughs, no harm done, but I am sure there are plenty of novices out there taking his nonsense seriou...

I don't think the snowflakes like the word "competing" either.

Re: Buy The New Vehicle Extended Warranty, But Shop It!

I have never bought the extended warranty on a vehicle. I can do most of my own repairs and it is rare for something to break that I can't fix with a quick trip to autozone. I can't rebuild a transmission or an engine and I even shy away from timing belt changes (those can be a hassle depending on w...

Re: Bond Arms Daily, or Other Carry?

I have a Bond Arms Texas Defender model. It is a lot of fun and built like a tank and is a great conversation piece at the range. The accuracy is reasonable and I would think that if I ever had to point it at a threat, looking down those two big barrels would make a man's bad intentions fade. That b...

Re: Fort Hood Soldier flees DPS going 200 mph on motorcycle, while illegally carrying gun

Back in my wild and wooly days I rode a Ducati 916 to 141 mph on a racetrack. I was a fairly competent rider in a controlled environment and I vividly remember how light the bike felt. I could feel the suspension decompressing and the bike felt so light it seemed to want to lift off the track. The b...

Re: OWB Kydex (or kydex-like) retention holsters for G27

I have been using Bravo Concealment for about a year now to conceal a HK VP40 with a Surefire light. I really like it as it fits great and conceals well. I was a little worried that I might have to fuss with the fit as the holster is molded for the pistol with the light attached, but it was perfect ...

Re: itarget pro

Pretty neat - can you design/print your own targets to slide in there? I am going to try printing out some other targets. On the provided target, the black lines are kind of fine and at 15 feet, my eyes have a little trouble clearly making out the lines. I tried one of my range targets with a red b...

itarget pro

A few months back, I had seen some on-line ads for something called itarget pro. It is a system to assist in dry fire training that consists of a target, a laser bullet in the caliber of your choice and an iphone app. I wasn't sure what to think of it, but I hate dry fire practice so I decided to bu...

Re: legal carry knife?

Rusty, this appears to be legal to me. A knife is a vital component to an EDC. They are lethal self-defense weapons and are every bit as deadly as a firearm. You may already have good experience with edged weapons, but in the event that you don't, please consider getting some training. It is very co...

Re: Calls for open rebellion

This morning I saw a protest where an illegal immigrant rights group was calling on state and local governments to defy any federal government orders for deportation of illegal aliens. This is typical of the left. They embrace rule of law when it protects their ideology and shun it when it doesn't....
