Re: Lubbock Federal Court to hear handguns for 18-20 year ol
Lets try and get rights for those of us under 21 and those of us serving in the military. :iagree: Regardless of age, those serving in the military should have all of the rights and privileges of a U.S. citizen. :patriot: Maybe we need a Constitutional amendment stating, "Upon attaining the ag...

Re: Unlicensed open-carry poll: 30.06
The legislature already has the sign preventing carry. It's the blue sign that states "The unlicensed carry of handguns is prohibited". Places like Wal-Mart Supercenters and H.E.B. are required to display them because they sell alcohol for off premises consumption.

Re: Bayou Rifles?
I am an avid motorcycle rider. When I go an an organized ride, I have to sigh a release that does not hold the organizers responsible for any accidents or I don't ride. The same could be done for an IDPA shoot or other things.

Re: If you're in the Dallas area
Ongoing training is required. Each time you renew your license you must be retrained and updated on the CHL laws, you must also requalify and show that you can hit your target. I can see where that is necessary, the roadrage incident last month the guy stated to police that he was shooting at the dr...

Re: Reducing the penalty for committing an offense under 30.
Maybe instead of reducing the penalty the requirement for the posting of the sign needs to be more explicit. Change it to something like “Must be at all the entrance(s) and highly visible while approaching the entrance(s) to enter.

Re: Reducing the penalty for committing an offense under 30.
This is why CC and OC should be completly seperate. Possibly OC would not require a license and have the same restrictions as CC had before year 2000, and to opt out all a store needs would be the sign for unlicensed handguns.

Here is another report, but like others it does not offer any solutions.

Re: Debt Commission recommendations
There are still a lot of older retired out there. I'm one of those that the recruiter told "If you re-enlist and stay in till retirement the Military will take care of your medical for the rest of your life at no cost to you". I was drafted in 67, I retired in 89. This is still a sore spot...

Re: OC v. CC -- Hatfields v. McCoys All Over Again
I must ask a couple questions here. I have gone to the OCDO website and several others, and seen many entries talking about the 30.06 sign and anywhere there is no 30.06 sigh they can carry. In reading Texas Handgun Laws GC CH. 411 "Pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass by holder of l...

About ones DD214. I retired in 1989 and one of the important things they told me was, Go to the County Registration office (where one goes to Register to Vote) with a copy of your 214 and Register it. That way if something happens one can always get a certified copy of thier DD214.
