Re: back to work, back to not carrying

My employer is one of those that reserves the right to search you, your belongings and vehicle while it is on the premises I have seen them doing searches on lockers they provide but it was after a theft. I figure if I don't want them searching my car I will just say no and remove it from their park...

Re: Change in Zip

suthdj - call the DPS CHL helpline. If they are still processing your application, they can change it before they issue it, and you won't have to pay any fee. On the DL, I would go down to the DPS driver's license office nearest you. Take the letter you got about the zip code change with you. They ...

Re: Newbie here from N. FW

Very Cool good to see other folks in my neck of the woods. I'm in Watauga and am also new to the board. We seem to have many in our area, If the cost/availability of rounds ever get under control we should all plan on a range day. Watauga 911 story- I was leaving the Golden Coral one evening and wa...

Re: How long did you take?

IANAL however contrary to popular belief yellow does not mean go faster and if it was yellow before you entered the intersection you should have stopped, yes I know nobody does and that is the cause for many of accidents.

Re: Inernet Websites for Ammo

try this one; http://www.ammoengine.com/find It is supposed to show "in stock only" but it is updated at 3AM and either some listings are wrong or got sold out since the update. It is a good place to start though. I use gundeals.com also. Went there got all excited at 100rds for $36 then ...

Re: Educate me, please....

You can email CHL@txdps.state.tx.us and ask them for your pin. You should provide them as much information as you are comfortable giving but at the absolute minimum, provide your full name and TX driver's license number (date of birth and CHL application number are also helpful to them). Just don't...

Everything that had my SS# in the Army also had the privacy act of 1974 statement on it. So unless the LEO has a benefit to provide me he has no need for my SS#.

Re: Bad LEO Encounter last night

Makes perfect sense to me. The wife did describe what weapons were in the house and where they should be. The Officer was checking to see if they had been stolen. Maybe not proper, but seems like the immediate thing to do. I would have to disagree, once he cleared the house he can have the home own...

Re: No Soliciting Signs and People Who Ignore Them

The ones that bother me are the door hanger guys they all look like they just got out of prison or belong to a street gang. They walk up to your door to hang a advertisement and it one takes a bit to see if door is locked and is easily explained away if confronted. My stupid HOA forbids signs that c...
