Re: Dr doesn't want to see me anymore

...Anybody ever been told to go away by their physician? Ive never had this happen before. Just weird. Yep. During the earliest days of his symptoms of Alzheimers, when he was still fairly self-functional, my father refused to take a medicine that his doctor prescribed, and the doc gave him a choic...

Re: 30 Years ago Today

I was working for the City of Fort Worth at the time, working on the computer systems controlling the traffic lights. I was working on an intersection, not listening to the broadcast radio at the time, when there was a collision at the intersection. I walked over to the two cars, and remember the wo...

Re: On Target Range on fire.

Scheduled for fingerprint scan Wednesday morning. Is that part destroyed/closed as well? I live in Granbury. I would call, today, and check to see if they are re-scheduling the appointments. I doubt, based on what we saw on the television reports, that they're going to be open for business anytime ...

Re: Can a school override or give exceptions to the no-CC law?

For what it's worth, after I explained the situation to my principal, he signed a letter I provided to him, that authorized me and the coach of our clay targets team to bring in a specified number of shotguns into the school for use in a gun safety course provided to each member of our clay targets ...

Re: Back Tire Flat - People Who Wanted To Help!

I was 13 miles into my bike ride when I started porpoising. Yep, when the back tire on my bicycle starts to go flat, I start bouncing up and down as I pedal. I immediately got off the bike and sho nuff, my back tire was almost completely flat and I was way the heck and gone out in the country, next...

Re: Class B charges dismissed

I know for a fact (the facts in this particular case notwithstanding) that some police departments will ask a person who has been (usually) arrested and/or charged with some offense to sign a letter dismissing the charges and including an agreement that the arrested party will not sue the department...

Re: Wearing a visible, empty belt holster

I did this yesterday. Had to pick my son up from school in between errands. I parked off school property and walked into the school with my exposed, but empty OWB holster. Didn't feel like untucking my shirt. Got a couple looks, but no comments. Why? Open carrying in your vehicle is perfectly legal...
