Since my CHL expired. Renewed on the second of January, called today and was told that they are "working on my background check" and if I don't receive it in 2-3wks to call them back. So much for the 45 day renewal time.

All of my carry guns have a tlr-1s or 1HL. I don't carry a flashlight, and the risk for low light shooting is probably much greater than the risk of a well-lit shooting. The tacti-cool people will tell you that weapon mounted lights are not a good idea, that they give away your position, blahblahbla...
