Yep. Figures. He uses similar wording in his veto override letter that the West Virginia democrap governor used when he vetoed their bill.Keith B wrote:As expected, Nixon is going to veto it

Re: medical advisory board
Wow. Texas is supposed to be the rabid pro gun, loose gun law state but then you got hoops to jump through like this for a carry permit? Anyways while you're trying to get your Texas permit why not just get a Arizona permit that is good in Texas? I still have my Arizona permit. $60 no notary or pho...

Why not buy something tiny like Sig p938 and pocket carry, or deeply concealed?

Re: TX: Houston gun range offers free CHL to LGBT community
Many heterosexuals have been murdered, too...no free CHL classes. It's a free country and you can offer free classes to who you want, I agree. Too me, IMHO, it creates the "I'm special..."I'm entitled" attitude. It is giving people special preference for what they do with their sexua...

Re: Missouri passes permitless conceal carry via massive pro gun bill
In a way I think they should have kept the lifetime permit and Stand your ground a separate bill from the permit less carry. I think he might have just let that pass on its own. Remember the West Virginia governor vetoed it twice as well and he's a democrat. In his veto letter he said he supports c...

Re: Missouri passes permitless conceal carry via massive pro gun bill
Interesting comments from Jay Nixon today. I don't know what will happen. He doesn't sound thrilled about the permit less carry part of the overall bill but gives some mix signals. Why isn't he flat out against this bill like he was with the 2014 bill lowering ccw age and arming teachers and the fe...

Re: Looks like we will be getting universal background checks, no gun list etc.
Yes - if you're blocked, then the govt has 72 hours to prove its case in front of a court, with the same level of proof as they would show for a warrant. 72 hours is the delay that's already in place for NICS checks that are kicked back. I think this is reasonable, and puts the burden of proof on t...

Re: Wait time for non resident Virginia permits
Called today about my permit. They're running a few days behind as expected because of all the crap going on the last 6 months but hopefully it will be issued soon they said.
Since when does the US constitution say anything about being taxed to BEAR arms?

Re: Wait time for non resident Virginia permits
I still have not got my permit yet and it's been over 90 days. Does anyone know the number I can call to check on it? I figure calling this time would be better than emailing them. I can't find their number anywhere for the firearms licensing division.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/sen-murphy-gun-vote-14-hour-filibuster-article-1.2675727 It looks like we might be having to put up with a non guns list and a universal background check bill! Re: Missouri passes permitless conceal carry via massive pro gun bill
Still pretty confusing and hopefully next year the lawmakers clear all this up or MO supreme court hears it. That's what I hate about laws in general. I don't even know how law enforcement and district attorneys and lawyers get through all this mumbo jumbo when it comes to reading the laws. Sb656 if...

Re: Missouri passes permitless conceal carry via massive pro gun bill
Got a email from Missouri Firearms Coalition tonight and it contained this in it just as I suspected. I wonder if Nixon might just let this become law without taking any action on the bill. Maybe it would be a good thing if he vetoes it, then is overrode on it and it hurts the Democrats at the polls...
