Re: Which Conceal Carry .45 ACP?
I shot a model 21 years ago and it was really not an ergonomic pistol for me. The 22 is better but still too brick like. I have yet to shoot an SF frame but have doubt it would make a difference. I will admit to a 1911 bias, having carried one for most of my 30 years in LE. I also realize the new st...

Re: Violence against police could soon be hate crime in Texas
Fully agree with you Liberty. Murder, by definition, is the ultimate hate crime in and of itself. As a society we need to stop this trend of adding "hate crime laws". There are already laws in place for the crimes, they just need to be prosecuted and harsh sentencing applied to convicted ...

Re: What is a "school zone"?
By any reasonable reading of the Constitution, this law is clearly unconstitutional (commerce clause, 2nd amendment, 10th amendment, etc.) and the original version was found so by SCOTUS in US vs Lopez. But the new version in which the statute opines upon interstate commerce, has not been held so. ...

Re: Which Conceal Carry .45 ACP?
I have to say something further on the Shield 45. I am scheduled to go through a firearms instructor course to re-certify for my firearms instructor status with TCOLE. I had let it lapse and now the requirements have changed since I originally did it in 1988 at the DPS academy range, so I have to go...

Nice additions. I too have an M&P 15 Sport II on layaway for the same reason, but I wanted one anyway regardless. The election was simply an excuse to go ahead and get my first personal AR.

Re: Carry insurance card in vehicle - bad idea?
Excellent advise to NOT keep anything in the vehicle that will identify who you are or where you live. Even if they do not steal your vehicle they also look for future opportunities. We have reports all the time of suspicious persons walking through a parking lot, especially Wally World trying car d...

Re: Do You Fast Forward?
While I too try to limit my political viewing I do like to stay abreast of the overall jest of current events as I think we need to keep reminded of just what we as responsible gun owners are up against and to never let our guard down.

Re: Art Acevedo to be named Houston Police Chief :(
My wife and I moved out of Houston 34 years ago and have no regrets nor plans to ever return. It is not the city we grew up in and that is NOT a good thing in our opinion. It is just a matter of time before it is another LA, Chicago or Detroit.

Re: Convince me that constitutional carry is a good thing
While I understand your concerns, I will just point out that several states have had "constitutional carry" for some time and there has not been any major issues. My son resides in Alabama and while they do require a LTC ( issued by the local Sheriffs ) there are no training/proficiency re...

Re: Which Conceal Carry .45 ACP?
Recently aquired the .45 Shield and it is absolutely GREAT. Only slightly larger than the 9mm brother, mine is scarily accurate out to 15 yards (the farthest I have fired it so far). I can pocket carry as long as I wear fairly loose slacks. Concealment is better than my Glock 26. I have fired my BI...

I found this video which I think explains the Liberal thought pattern perfectly. Their heads probably exploded sometime early Wednesday morning. :)

Re: I guess the Dem's are poor losers
The two mainstays of the liberals, which they pull out when they have no valid arguement, are... "he's/ she's a racist" or "Think of the children".
