Have A Hearing Problem??

Got to thinking... lol. If someone in a CHL class has a hearing problem (that is not corrected by a hearing aid) would this be a disqualifier in the shooting exercise? For example, a person only has hearing in one ear. Thus, hearing the instructor's instructions for each of the exercises (number of ...

Re: A Comment About Our Educational System

Agree...out educational system sucks. I've never and never would teach in the public schools. Have taught at University level, though. We should teach "academics" and "information". Then "test" for knowledge. There is always the "Normal Curve"...a few at the b...

Re: Am I The Only Dinosaur Without A Smart Phone?

I have a flip phone. Only use it for a rare emergency and to use as a "CB" to talk to my wife when needed. My desktop computer is all I need otherwise...real size keys, etc. Have no interest in all those "aps" since I don't do all that sh...t. :)

Re: No CHL! How to avoid problems?

I personally have a problem with your juvenile "aggravated assault" item as well as your several conflicts with LEO's since then. At age 34 and 7 years since last problem...well...IMO you have a problem that has not completely gone away despite what the Texas CHL law says...

Re: Walmart Manager Fired for Trying to Stop Theft

I agree. Was a stupid thing for employee to do! IMO it is NOT the duty of any employee of any business to play COP and "rescue" anything that is being stolen. That is what a company's insurance is for...when it applies. I'm not going to chase after any bad guy for my boss...go ahead...make...

Re: Texas CHL Laws

Have read them numerous times, including before I was an instructor. If a person is not willing to read the laws and familiarize themselves with them, then in my opinion they don't have the commitment to try and follow the laws and should not have a CHL. I agree 100%. The "laws" are suppo...

Re: At the car dealership

Wakeboard...why would you need to get a rental car while waiting on a 30 minute oil change? Unless, of course, your only option was to leave it overnight at a backed-up Dealer. There are other quicker options for an oil change. Isn't a law or warranty issue that a person has to have a Dealer change ...

Re: The Incandescent Light Bulb R.I.P. ?

The halogen bulb is much cheaper than the CFL and only slightly higher presently than the current incandescent. The halogen bulbs also do a really good job of reproducing the current color temperature of the incandescent, so you don't get the off-color of the CFL or LED that come with some of them....

There is a chance he will go and call the police. TPC §46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE HOLDER. Re: Just great! Another darned school shooting.

A lot of school districts are idiots! Blame cities, school administration, school boards, etc. 20-20 hindsight says once parents were "criminals" for saying "NO" to their rug rats and not allowed to spank, it all started going downhill. We need to remove the idiot "gun free ...

Re: Buidling codes and laws in TX

Best wishes! The further you go WEST of I-35 in Texas, especially in a COUNTY rural area with some land (preferably 20 acres plus) the fewer restrictions you'll encounter. Stay away from anything close to the metropolitan areas and/or those Towns that claim to be "cities". About only restr...
