Re: One Second After, by William R. Forstchen
I read this book some time ago and enjoyed the message which was very thought provoking, especially what would actually happen if an EMP struck? How prepared are most people to actually deal with it. It was the small things that we take for granted that we would need the most. How many people actual...

Re: Need help - our new employee got arrested a week ago
I would try to find out what the substance was first and go to the police station and speak with the arresting officer, he/she can spread some insight on the situation. I personally would not treat having a joint the same as a bag of meth or heroin in my business decisions, I have had many pot smoke...

Re: Bills legalizing knuckle possession?
Maybe somebody can explain that rationale behind wanting these to be legal to carry because I cannot think of a single instance where they would be beneficial to law abiding citizens. It seems to me that the use of these alone would constitute deadly force. I can see itnow, if they are legalized th...

Re: VHF Antenna Style ?
I always used Shakespeare VHF antennas about 6' in length, then again i was 80+ miles offshore most of the time and wanted to reach other boats or Coast Guard if anything came up, I considered my radios as safety equipment so had 2 of them on board. Length is your friend if practicle It depends a lo...

Re: Had a Knife Pulled on Me While Walking My Dog in Central Lubbock
I suggest you google Tueller Drill and watch some of the videos. The person was way to close to you for your safe being so I suggest you get some potent pepper spray for any possible future encounters. I feel you were lucky in the way it ended, it very well could have been much worse in a situation ...

Re: Motor homes
Pilot Knoll Park in Highland Village has a nice campground on Lewisville lake. Might be worth a consideration for a first shakedown trip, Walmart is about a mile away for the items that are overlooked before hitting the road.... best of luck with your new travel adventures.... http://www.highlandvil...

Re: Tough one - loose dog - their property
By "charging" do you mean running at you in an agressive manor? The reason I ask is I know and have owned many dogs that would run up to people wanting a pat or to play, there is a big difference. Most laws state that off property the dog must be leashed, on property the dog must be under ...

Re: Republican Convention: Cruz supporters planning trouble?
To me this election is about who will be nominating the Supreme Court Justices. Although I am not fond of either candidate I would rather that Trump make the selection rather than Clinton. A Clinton win has the possibility of making our 2nd Amendment rights a thing of the past, all it will take is o...

Re: Shots fired at BLM protest in Dallas
No links but heard that DPD took out the shooter with a remote detonated device using the robot. Am I the only one a little unsettled by the fact that the PD used a bomb against the guy? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he got taken out and I mourn the officers lost, but this just rubs me wrong. I have...

Re: What would you do?
i would not do anything and would go about my business. I have no way of knowing if his gun was loaded or not and actually would not care. I do not suffer from gun paranoia and assume the worst especially since he was trying to find the proper fit in a holster, now if he was waving it around that wo...
