Re: I Saw a CHL Badge Yesterday
The latest Sportsman's Guide catalog came in the mail the other day. My girlfriend was flipping through it and zeroed in on the CHL badge. She recently moved here from CA so she's not up to speed on this yet. She pointed it out to me and said; "Did you see this?, do you have one? is it a requir...

Re: My son's first ever pistol match...
Tyler did great and I'm sure beat at least a handful of shooters. He was safe and looked relaxed, not anxious or nervous. I'd say most first timers wish they could do as well. Now, if he'll spend some time at the reloading bench and make some nice soft shooting ammo instead of shooting factory 45......

Re: IDPA ESR question about S&W 625
I have used my 1989 model 625 to shoot ESR and it's a hoot. In addition to the [abbreviated profanity deleted] front sight and trigger work, I highly recommend chamber chamferring and polishing. You want your reloads to be as fast as possible. I also only use jacketed bullets. Cast or Moly coated le...

Re: Glock Haters?
I'll go ahead and put my 2 cents in... I've owned several Glocks and XD's. Of these, the Glock beats the XD in the simplicity department. The trigger mechanism in the XD is much more complicated than it has to be. Glocks are easy, and cheap to maintain, reliable and accurate enough out of the box fo...

I never walk out the door without doing an equipment check. It has saved me from leaving the house with an empty holster more than once.

Beretta Tomcat LF pocket or S&W 642. But, lately I have left the BUG behind in lieu of a knife carried on the centerline.
My primary sidearm is a 4 or 5" 1911 in 45acp and I always carry a spare mag or two. So, I feel like I'm set.

You've got that right! We have to look at every threat as potentially life threatening.longtooth wrote:Today's criminal has no regard for human life.
