Re: HB 3016 - Holstered Car Carry for LTCs

If I'm not mistaken, this is amending the section that makes it illegal for someone without an LTC to openly carry a firearm in their car. Currently the MPA only allows for concealed carry in a vehicle for those without a license to carry.

Re: Do you ever open carry?

I still don't OC in San Antonio as there is a much higher likelihood of me running into someone that is vehemently against guns that has the time to ruin my day. Interesting point. I live in San Antonio, and I've never open carried, though I concealed carry most of the time. I've seen someone open ...

Re: Do you ever open carry?

I do occasionally and it's almost always when I decide to carry my 1911 since I've found no good way to conceal it comfortably. I still don't OC in San Antonio as there is a much higher likelihood of me running into someone that is vehemently against guns that has the time to ruin my day. The few ti...

Re: TSA Rule Change - Bush Intercontinental

Sounds like they wanted to steal your firearm. I agree. Why would United stock Pelican cases and TSA approved locks for passengers that allegedly aren't in compliance with rules that aren't even United's? This is why I print TSA rules and the airlines rules the day that I'm traveling. I get there e...

Re: McKinney Apartment Evicting Vet for self defense

If I manage to scare a threat in one direction then I'm going the opposite way. I'm not walking into an ambush. What's the legality of drawing back down on someone that showed themselves to be a threat a few minutes ago but is no longer presenting a threat? I can't imagine it gets you a key to the c...

Re: Changed my grip color

I actually think it’s looks cooler the way it does now. Nothing looks cool until your wear the new off! My favorite AR I rattle canned a year ago and it’s wearing in nicely. Heck when it all wears off I’ll rattle her again! Thank you, I agree. I've got my AR done up in OD as well and now that it's ...

Re: Changed my grip color

That really looks good. :thumbs2: Will be interested to see how that holds up long term, especially to lube and solvents. Thanks! It's held up pretty well over the last 3 years. The lighting in the photo makes the color seem faded but it's still a very nice green. Gotta hand it to Testors on this o...

I think you'll be happy with the "upgrade". My trigger felt better overall and the reset was better (it was already good).

I bought a lot of ammo at Walmart over the years. I won't buy another box.

Re: Should I conceal carry a .22 pistol?

I've got an LCR in .22 Mag that I occasionally carry because of how light it is. It's not my ideal weapon but I don't have a problem carrying it. At the end of the day any gun in the hand beats the gun at home.

Re: Road Rage Incident

That's a tough call with kids in the car. Being completely boxed in and having someone advance on you and your child it seems like getting out of the car might not be a bad decision. Get the threat focused on you rather than you and your kid but I'm not sure I would have drawn as soon as I got out o...

I believe Trump is always several steps ahead of the left, driving them crazy. :iagree: I have full faith that we will always get more than we will loose with Trump! He didn’t become Trump by loosing an inch! Slidefires were not banned after the vegas shooting. AR-15s dont have a hope of getting ba...
