Re: Heckler & Koch Blackballs Israel
Is the political situation in Germany so bad that they have to take such an action? There really isn't another explanation as to why an arms company would stop selling arms to people that have a legitimate need for them.

Re: 2017 Wait time
Sent my stuff in on September 1st for my first renewal and I just got my shiny new LTC in the mail. I used the online documentation area to send them my new DL number and they changed it without so much as a hiccup.

Re: Virgin Islands seizes guns and ammo
I can't see the Virgin Islands NG rounding up guns and ammo from people. They have about 1,000 currently in service and over 100,000 residents on the island. The manpower needed to roundup guns and prepare the island for a Category 5 storm just isn't there and even if they attempted it any meaningfu...

Re: 2017 Wait time
I sent mine in on 9/1. I figure with the holiday and the people, like me, that waited for the price drop we will have a little longer wait. We shall see.SA-TX wrote:9/4 Renewal sent online. It will be interesting to see how long it takes with the expected "new cheaper rate" surge.

Re: Just renewed but I have an ID question
Got ahold of a very nice DPS rep that told me all I had to do was send in a picture of my DL and CHL either by mail, email or fax that explained that I wanted to change numbers. So I used the supporting documents page and sent it in. Simply stated on the same PDF - "please use my current driver...

Re: Just renewed but I have an ID question
When you received your TX drivers license, your TX ID became invalid. This should have been explained to you at the DPS drivers license office when you received the receipt for the DL. It is not legal to carry an TX ID and a TX DL. You should notify the DPS of the change ASAP. I would also give the...

Just renewed but I have an ID question
When I got to Texas I got a State ID card and used that to fill out my application for my CHL. Shortly after getting my CHL I got a drivers license and have used that in conjunction with my CHL ever since (even though the ID#s don't match). When I logged in to renew I had to use that old state ID ca...

Sig Sauer customer service report
I sent my new Sig P320 subcompact back for the issue I posted on here a little bit ago. Essentially the feed/ramp chamber area was rough and marring up cases pretty badly. Sig initially claimed that this was normal for the P320 especially with the subcompacts as they run a really tight chamber on th...

Re: Are There Gun Forum's That Should Be Avoided?
I joined arfcom years ago and abandoned it very quickly. If you aren't building a several thousand dollar clone gun, then you're just a loser or so I'm told. For me it's this forum and occasionally Reddit for information. Boy they would hate my Aero Precision stuff. Inexpensive and works great? Not...

Re: TV Fact or Fiction
In a TV cartoon the other night a pistol barrel was curved back toward the character holding it and the bullet hit him in the face. Is this possible? :biggrinjester: If the barrel was long enough, or the projectile small enough, you could probably design a working gun the did this. I'm thinking a B...

Re: Any practical way to legally carry an AR Pistol?
I didn't know where to post this. AR15 pistols. They are too big to conceal. There are no belt or shoulder holsters that I know of and I see no way to make one that would be practical to use. AR pistols are really intended to be carried with a 1 or 2 point sling. It would be legal to carry a "...

Re: Texas Illegal Knife Bill unanimously passes out of committee.
The NRA ILA email I got said that restrictions will remain in place for knives over 5.5 inches? I can open carry a rifle or handgun in public but my KA-Bar is still too dangerous? The governor is expected to sign this bill I understand. If that happens you simply can not carry a "location rest...
