Re: Funny Campus Carry article

Well...okay then. Lots of solutions (none of them good) looking for a problem in that article.

Although the professor is supposedly a learned man, it seems that he hasn't realized that someone intent on hurting him will most assuredly ignore the "no guns" signs / rules on campus....

Re: Gun homicide rate down 49% since 1993, public unaware of reduction

You are reading it wrong... http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/files/2013/05/SDT-2013-05-gun-crime-1-2.png Our liberal friends will tell you that the drop in crime starting in 1994 was due to the AWB , and nothing you say will convince them otherwise. You can bring up Conceal Carry laws exploding in ne...

Re: SCOTUS and 2nd Amendment

Chief Acevedo says the 2nd is clear: "Well regulated", he's all for gun control. I'm glad people here in San Antonio got mad and made sure he didn't become out chief of PD. "Well regulated" didn't have the same meaning in 18th century english that it has today. The meaning of th...

Re: Range Etiquette/Rules/Laws

Having recently received my CHL some questions have arisen now regarding range etiquette. The range I go to does not allow loaded firearms anywhere behind the firing range itself. So here is my dilemma or question. When I am done at the range how, when, and where can I load my handgun and conceal c...

Re: .300 Blackout

AAC MPW 9 - SBR. Then if /when you go suppressed, you are looking at something around the size of a standard 16" barrel on an AR. With subsonic ammo, it is very quiet. I haven't seen any issues with the factory build I shot.

Re: New update on instructor renewal

I submitted my renewal application and CHL-90 back in August in anticipation of a flood near renewal time. Initially, all I got back was the generic message: Note: This email address does not accept reply correspondence. We have received CHL supporting documents attached to your recent email. Please...

Re: Instructor renewal instructions

They wanted the money, CHL90, and my current pistol instructor cert. I gave them that and they sent the following email. "You have completed the initial part of the Instructor Renewal application process and we need no further documentation at this time. Additional instructions regarding the c...

Re: Dallas Zoo is an Amusement Park - Who Knew?

If I'm not mistaken, if they are truly an amusement park they don't need a 30.06 sign. Isn't this one of the restricted places that you can't carry designated in the law? I don't feel like looking it up. If you read farther down to Section (i) you will see the following: Subsections (b)(4), (...

Chuck Norris doesn't dial the wrong number, you pick up the wrong phone.

Fear of spiders is called arachnophobia, fear of tight spaces is called claustrophobia, and fear of Chuck Norris is just plain logic.

Once a cobra bit Chuck Norris' leg. After five days of excruciating pain, the cobra died.

Re: Should University Administrators be in the Law Enforcement Business?

For what it's worth, in Baylor's case, and I would bet many private universities around the state, the Baylor PD officers are also listed as reserve officers for the McLennan county sheriff's office...so that takes care of off campus questions. Although that may not be their primary function, they c...
