Re: I got busted today...
As a group that promotes concealed carry, I think we might be making a mistake if we adopt a casual attitude toward printing. The passage of Open Carry increased the public awareness of encountering obviously armed individuals and this caused a flurry of 30.07 signs, all to often paired with 30.06 ...

Clearly we have to regulate all Prius, the Prius owners are the problem. Obviously the National Prius Association is going to try to stop any new regulations, but they must be made to see there are too many Prius out there and they are hurting people all on their own.

Re: Best thing we can do for our gun rights - now more than ever
Exactly. Just one more thing the NRA should be doing instead of making threatening videos that alienate people. We need a positive gun message and we need to educate people how they can be used to save lives. I don't know how much time people here have spent with average people who are against guns,...

Re: NRA Against Bump Fire Stocks?
I am new, so please don’t take this the wrong way because I mean no offense by it, I am just a bit confused. I completely understand the frustration in this thread, and with the concept of giving an inch and they will take a mile. However, I am confused at the disappointment with the NRA over this i...

Interesting. So they are scared that they would lose, so they just give up on the “good reason” for DC. I wonder if all the other states that have similar restrictions will get challenged now?ELB wrote:SCOTUS is not getting this one: DC won't take concealed carry fight to Supreme Court

Re: What's the Origin of Your User Name?
Well, mine is extremely complicated, I am sure no one could figure it out. I have a CZ P-10c. See, you never would have guessed it. ;-) Interestingly enough, I let my wife pick whichever mid sized gun she wanted, at first the Glock 19 was her favorite of all the ones she tried. Then she started comp...

Keith answered your question, but I just wanted to add that my wife really likes her carry purse from Moonstruck Leather, in case your wife is looking for one.

Re: DC: Fed Court of Appeals rules public carry of firearms a "core" right
"I can’t see California accepting it without a huge fight", not sure how California would fight a Supreme Court ruling, if they did the State and local municipalities would be shelling out alot of money! Sorry, what I meant was they would use their substantial influence and resources to p...

Re: DC: Fed Court of Appeals rules public carry of firearms a "core" right
If we make a giant leap in the future and assume that the Supreme Court has taken the case and ruled 5-4 in a permanent stay of the D.C.ruling, doesn't that put all of the "may issue" State laws in jeopardy? If I understand it correctly, the Maryland approach is the same as the D.C. one. ...

Re: So much to do..
I am in the same boat, my problem is I am trying to have zero chance of printing, which even with a small gun is not anywhere as easy as I thought it would be. Everything seemed easier when I was thinking about carrying, doing it in real life is not quite so simple, for me at least.

Re: Beretta Nano experience?
Haven’t tried the Nano, but will echo the sentiment that the Shield and Glock 43 are great choices. I liked both, but am more comfortable with the Glock 43. My wife likes it too, which surprised me. Definitely more expensive though, I couldn't do any better than paying $425 for a new 43.

For me it was about 6 days, then it showed as mailed. Seemed like a long time with all the items green already, but it took almost a week to change from print pending to mailed.bamhauser wrote:How long will I be stuck in the print pending status?

Re: HB435 Emergency Services Personnel
Not sure why this is being debated. My point was that this new law obviously needs to be tested in court to figure out what it really means since the wording of the bill is so vague. It will probably take a very unlikely series of events for that to occur. Most likely it would be the store calling t...

Re: Gun safe thoughts/advice
Gun safes are great, but it all depends on your budget, not just for the safe, but for future guns. If you plan to stay in your house for some time, and have the budget to get more guns at some point, then you want a decent sized safe as others have pointed out. I looked into it not too long ago, an...
