Re: G36 or M&P 45c?
Having shot it and liked it, I can guarantee that you will absolutely fall in love with it if you add the stainless steel (dual) spring and rod ( link ). If your hands are good sized adding the grip extension ( link ) with slug plug will make it even better. Congrats on finding perfection.... :woohoo

Re: Big Bend area?
Big Bend is both a state park and a national park (http://www.nps.gov/bibe/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) so carrying inside the park is prolly not a good idea.

Ft. Davis McDonald Observatory There are three 'loops' through the mountains -- have riden them many times (motorcycling) The canyons of Big Bend, of course (the river, which is probably down right no, and the rock formations) Indian Lodge (the hotel in the Ft. Re: G36 or M&P 45c?
Oddly enough, I've carried a G36 for almost 3 years and never had a problem. I've owned 3 G36, 2 G21 and one G30. The G36 (upgraded with SS rod and dual spring, along with +1 grip extension and slug plug) has been the best of them all. In more than 1000 rounds not a single stove top, not a ftf, not ...

Elected by an ignorant, self-serving mass of entitlement-seeking, gov't dependents, the Obamas know nothing of patriotism, love of God or country. They possess no honor whatsoever. This arrogant narcissist has done more as POTUS to harm and disgrace this nation in his 2.5 years in office, in my esti...

Having grown up on a ranch in Central Oklahoma, storm preparedness (shelter, canned foods, emergency kit, etc.) was always a part of the status quo. After living in 3rd World cultures for 14 years, the idea of a bail out and/or bug out bag eventually became a part of the daily routine. Now I'm no su...

Re: LAPG Bail Out Bags
I have decided to get my wife and I each a LAPG Bail Out Bag. The purpose is to keep them in the vehicles with standard emergency equipment. Given your intent (trunk emergency kit) you can't miss the mark for $19 ea. Like others have pointed out, if what you're looking for is a true 'bug out bag' y...
