Re: Holsters
Howdy folks, looking for recommendations for holsters for the Hellcat and P365... Open to ANY holster options that have worked well for you. IMHO, IWB hybrid holsters are most comfortable. I personally like 3:30-4:30. I really like the Comp-Tac MTAC . The leather is stiff and has molded nicely arou...

Looking for LTC Instructor in SE TX Sensitive to Covid-19 Risk Group
My friend has a couple Covid-19 comorbidities (age, BP), but he's not frail. He wants to take an LTC class, but not in a room full of mouth-breathers. Small class size? Online? Outside? In a pool? Idunno. He would prefer online. He's in NW Houston, but is willing to drive an hour or so if necessary ...

Re: Houston Police Chief gets singled out on Fox News
I have seen several videos of him speaking in a very personal way to protesters. I don't like his politics or the language he uses. However, I think his audience is an important part of the empathetic context. By inserting himself into these groups, he is gaining a little control over their directio...

Re: Loaded magazine went for a wash!
I think a "squib" happens when the gun powder doesn't have enough power to push the bullet out the end of the barrel. The result is that the barrel is now plugged like a pipe bomb when the next round is fired. I have also seen videos of people banging a dowel down the barrel to un-stick a ...

Re: Glock G19: Gen 4 or Gen 5?
Looking at adding a Glock G19 to my handgun collection, mainly due to it's widespread use. Curious if anyone has experience with both Gen 4 and Gen 5 to recommend one over the other. Some opinions after shooting them side by side. The two stage recoil spring in the Gen 5 makes a noticeable differen...

Re: Research Help Needed!
I was told of a case where a person was charged for carrying past a gun-buster sign and was convicted, I believe for violating 30.06, since the intent of the sign was clear. Did you ever find your case? I don't know why I looked, but I think Tafel got his guns back. The question before the Supreme ...

Re: Store Clerk Loses Job After Scaring Away Robber
This is how screwed up our country is now. The 711 Corporation does the same thing. I bet the owners of that convenience store are big dems who voted for Hillary. This policy is designed to stop criminals, criminal family, and criminal estates from seeking damages against a company where an employe...

Re: Irresponsible dog owner
I think reasonable people agree that dogs could cause serious bodily injury or death. I would be very sad if I had to use deadly force to stop a dog from being a dog. If a dog just need a little education to leave me alone, I'd much prefer to season it with spicy knowledge sauce and let it ponder it...

Re: Carrying on someones private property
Even if you do not know the individual from something other than an email exchange? I agree that it was wreckless, just trying to see if there is another solution besides signage and/or an oral warning. IMHO, You should just assume everyone is armed at an exchange springing from email. We already k...

Re: I got a 30.06 sign removed!
... Obviously I'm not going to give my business to someone who won't let me carry, but I couldn't just stop going. I had to make sure they knew I wasn't going, and that they understood why. I sent the attached letter to the owner and a week later the 30.06 sign came down! Feel free to alter and use...

Re: Poll: Do you Open Carry?
There have been a few questions about open carry lately on the forum. We all have our own opinions, and they differ. For the new LTC's among us trying to make a decision, I thought it would be good to let them know what the members here do. Missing my vote, so i'll just add it down here. - I'm glad...
