Re: Insensitive Cave Man
In a recent thread I discovered that I am an "Insensitive Cave Man" (ICM). At first I was shocked at the revelation, but as I pondered on what it really means to be an ICM I have decided to embrace it. What does it mean to be an ICM? It means: I hold the same values as my father and his f...

Re: Houston: Child brought gun to elem, school
Another possibility is that the kid felt it dropping out of the backpack and grabbed for it. We know where that can lead. It would be interesting and I hope that LEOs know the answer to a couple of key questions. 1. The kid did or did not know that the gun was in the backpack. Like another speculato...

Re: Concealed Carry on Campus Debate Tarrant County College
Well I don't know if anyone here attended but the debate went very well. The opponents were very unprepared. We were able to make a lot of really strong points that I think swayed some people. We also had a lot more support than I expected. Thanks, Clayton Smith :woohoo The more events like this wh...

Re: CA High schools-Handguns and Havoc on Los Angeles Campus
None of that matters to the "anti" crowd. The bottom line is that they want everyone to be a criminal that has anything to do with firearms and is not an LEO or a Service-member serving overseas. I'm not sure that some of the antis that I've talked would exempt overseas deployment. Whethe...

Re: CA High schools-Handguns and Havoc on Los Angeles Campus
The sad part is that those who continue to push for more and more restrictions on guns will not acknowledge that the existing restrictions on guns are being ignored. It is as if the next law passed will have a magic wand in it that will make people suddenly start obeying the law. The saying "y...

Re: 6 Year Old Girl Groped By TSA
I don't agree with the current policies I also don't believe that we can pretend that 9/11 never happened. Some changes had to be made. Obviously what we have now is not the answer but what was in place prior to 9/11 is not either. I'll certainly concede that the word "groped" is probably...

Re: Whatcha gonna do 'bout it?
The only problem is that the airlines don't seem to understand why people are staying away, and just play along with the regulators and bureaucrats whose sole reason to exist is to increase the power and size of their agency. The truth is that there are probably multiple reasons for people not flyi...

Re: Whatcha gonna do 'bout it?
For some of us, travel is just a fact of life. Will I sit by and do nothing? No. Will stop flying? No. IMO Sometimes those who participate have a greater voice than those that don't. Merely avoiding flying means there are less people going through the TSA lines that will show their discontent. I wa...

Re: Whatcha gonna do 'bout it?
I happened to be on a flight with Kay Bailey back in the 90s. There was no contact with us riffraff. This was a Southwest flight and her aide boarded the plane before anyone else and staked out a seat up front. KB let all the riffraff board so we wouldn't walk by her on our way in, then boarded and...

Re: Whatcha gonna do 'bout it?
I also wanted to point out one option to avoid the need for dealing with US TSA agents when you fly to / from France. You could always drive to Mexico or Canada, and then fly from there to France. May not be the most convenient option, and with Mexico, may not be the safest, but it is an option. Th...

Re: Whatcha gonna do 'bout it?
1. I've stopped flying. 2. I've written to my Congresspeople, my Senators & Chairman Napolitano and explained the reason for my decision to stop flying. 3. I've joined several activist groups with agendas to replace the politicians who allow this stuff to happen. At their request, I regularly wr...
