Re: My new tax write-off

Hey Baytown, Sounds good, I'' be looking forward to your full report. I hope that will include an in-depth section on how well it does on hitting Bianchi Barricades from a distance of, say, 2 inches. TraCoun I wonder if a hit from a TR Special on a Bianchi Barricade will send perfectly round ...

LADIES, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!

My wife and I saw a news report last night, complete with video surveillance camera footage of a 19 girl being kidnaped in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Tyler, Texas where she worked. She apparently left work between 11:30 PM and midnight and the perp. can be seen on the video following far behind her...

This isn't my gun, I just found this photo on the Internet. I'm going to have a 1911 engraved, so I did a search for engraved guns to get some ideas. I don't even recall where I found it.

Here is an update on the software. PHPBB is going to release version 3.0 in the not-too-distant future and it will not be backward compatible with earlier versions. A conversion tool will be available to convert the database from 2.x. Version 3.0 will have several new features, but they have not yet...

Your post was right on point. We must have been typing at the same time, but just like on the range, you're faster than me!

Sorry for essentially duplicating your response.

With your wife in her home, she is in fear of her life, thus the use of deadly force is justified. Therefore, it doesn't matter that the use of what would normally be a less-than-lethal weapon may/does cause serious bodily injury or death. The only "evaluation" your wife has to make is whe...

I won't offer an opinion as to the legality of this product in Texas, but make sure you are comfortable with Texas law before using such a device. Spring guns have long been unlawful, as are other devices that fall within the scope of Section 9.44. The intent of Section 9.44 is not to prevent the us...

Didn't they tweak the original CHL law to allow pick up too and from school with a CHL? Seems this is taking a huge step back. You are correct, that is why the definition of "premises" set forth in Texas Penal Code Section 46.035(f)(3) was adopted in Section 46.03(c)(1). This is most defi...

Trespass by a CHL holder is governed only by Penal Code Section 30.06. We are all familiar with the "notice" as provided by the 30.06 sign and its required language, but notice can also be verbal and the spoken notice need not follow the language of the 30.06 sign. If your employer verball...

Sparks #1 Heritage IWB Holster

[This is a modified reprint of a review I posted on 1911forum.com] My youngest son carries a custom SS Commander and he's an active outdoorsman. Since he has a problem with sweating through his IWB holsters during the Texas summer months (remember, we have February and Summer), I bought him a Sparks...

It looks like there might be enough interest to try to put the seminar together. I will try to get a criminal attorney to take part as well. I also want to let you folks know I'm not trying to avoid makng a recommendation for a criminal attorney, it's just that I know very few. I do have the name of...
