Where in Lubbock?

#1

Post by MrDrummy »

I know that we've got two places around town-- can anyone tell me more? I really don't like indoor ranges like Patriot, and haven't had a chance to head out to the one north of Slaton.

Are there any more that I don't know about? I just recently moved up here, so I could easily be missing something!

Thanks!

I haven't shot at Patriot, I also don't care for indoor ranges, but son has used it for convenience.

We shoot at Rustic Range, north of Slaton (or south of Ransom Canyon.) It is 25 miles from the house but down in the canyon is lovely and the people that run it are nice. They have outside but covered stations for shooting rifles, pistols, and shotguns. Targets and silhouettes in different locations. Open 1 to dusk M-F and 9-dusk Saturday and Sundays. DH says their gun shop has a nice inventory with decent prices. We will probably be out there on Sunday afternoon!

Yeah, I've heard that place is nice. I wish that they had a membership deal!

The wife and I will most likely head out there next week sometime and check it out!

Thanks for the post.
