End of NRA Credit Card

#1

Post by Paladin » Sun Apr 26, 2020 7:48 am

I've had the NRA credit card for almost 20 years. It was always a good litmus test to see the anti's reaction to reading the card. Yesterday was the last day, as the anti's appear to have killed it. Was good while it lasted to buy guns/ammo/etc and have a portion go to the NRA.

We need to break up the big banks, because of this and uncountable other reasons.

The banking industry, for all intents and purposes, it an arm of the Federal government. They are certainly the enforcement arm of many governmental edicts. The worst part is that the level of political involvement is extraordinarily high. Some of the Eric Holder initiatives that involved banks attempted to shut down support for any business that was involved with guns. The NRA credit seems like just collateral damage.

I have also had the card for several years. I just received my new card in the mail and it’s now from Penfed Credit Union

Same here.
The new penfed card went through the shredder quite well. I only kept the NRA card out of principle, making occasional midway purchases.
There are far better cards out there, and as someone who detests using cards in general it just didn't seem to make sense to keep it.
It will be interesting to note how long they will keep my account active without any usage. Eventually they will close it and my available credit on my fico will drop very slightly, which will probably cost me a couple points on my score. No great loss.
When any govt, or church, says This you can't read, are forbidden to know, the result is tyranny and oppression. Little force is needed to control a man who has been hoodwinked; no force can control a free man, not the rack, bombs, not anything, you can't conquer a free man, at most you can kill him.
