In southeast Houston today a dead newborn or stillborn baby girl was found near a trash bin.

In northeast Houston today the body of a small child burned beyond recognition was found in a ditch by the side of a road.

Police have not determined whether the dead body is a boy who has been missing for three days.

In northwest Harris County on Dec. 20 a 3-month-old baby was fatally mauled by a 150-lb Rottweiler, one of nine large dogs in the home.

In Bacliff (Houston exurb) Dec. 21 a dog bit off a 5-year-old boy's finger.

The dog had, of course, never done anything like that before.

The body of the boy who was found in the ditch burned beyond recognition was the missing 12 year old boy. They now have the suspect in custody. A woman.
The father lamented on TV that they have too many sex offenders living around them. Apparently the police just went around to all the sex offenders in the area and found the one who didn't have a good alibi and didn't apparently lie well. Evidence was take from her home, so I suspect they may have found their man (woman).

Apparently one of the problems with child sex offenders is that everyone wants justice and so the penalties get higher and higher for these kinds of crimes. This leads the perps to kill the victim, so they cannot testify. In this case they went to the trouble of burning the victims body to try and hide who he was.

None of it worked and all that this apparently did was to go from life without parole to lethal injection.

Very sad. I cannot imagine the suffering the parents are going through right now.
