"I'm happy to report no one has died," interim Austin Police Chief Joseph Chacon told reporters near the scene of the incident in the area of 400 E 6th Street — a popular area filled with bars and restaurants.

The first call of shots fired came in at around 1:24 a.m. local time (2:24 a.m. ET), he said, adding that the street was barricaded to keep out crowds and vehicle traffic at the time of the shooting.

Well, I read the story at the link, and was vindicated by doing so. Why? My first thought was gang-related shooting, and near the bottom of the article it says the gang task force was investigating, along with homicide officers. If it was one of those crazy, psychotropic med, "lone wolf" guys (who usually off themselves after the incident), there would be no need for a gang task force to be involved. Now the primary question is "who disrespected who"?

The "Gun Violence Epidemic" in America, by the numbers, is clearly a "Gang-Related Crime" epidemic. But that doesn't fit the spin that the leftists and mainstream media want spun. Heaven forbid that almost the entirety of the casualty numbers are not being caused by law abiding firearm owners, that they're being caused by people who are picking up a gun in spite of and in violation of already existing laws.

Methinks this is too much of a coincidence given that Gov. Abbott still hasn't signed the Constitutional Carry bill. Doesn't it still take effect on 9/1/2021 even if he doesn't sign it?

Gang-related? Well, yes. Looks like a biker gang incident.

What difference does it make if it was a biker gang? Last time I checked, those are still GANGS, and they are still part of the overall violence problem.

Reports are saying a dispute between two people. One we know is a "homeboy", the other we don't know for sure yet because they refuse to say his race. Which means it is also a "homeboy". They are not saying gang related yet. Maybe they were in two different gangs but it is hard to know when the "woke" media of Austin is more concerned with confirming stereo types we all know are true rather than telling the actual story. I am betting it is over "disrespect", which we all know is a big thing with the "home boy" crowd.

They're probably a bunch of mama's boy's. One on one they're nothing, but with a bunch of them they're bulletproof. They want respect but they are the last to give it. If mama came around they would get a a** Whooping. Because they're a bunch of good ol boy's, choir boy's. They act all brave and big cheese until they do their act's of criminal activity upon society then they run like hell. Real brave men? I think not. Al Capone would laugh at today's gansters
