Not guilty of child neglect.
Doesn't negate the fact that the man is a coward who should never be able to don the uniform of a law enforcement officer. When I juxtapose his actions and those of the officer who literally ran to the Allen Outlet Mall shooting in Texas after hearing shots and took down the shooter I am torn between tears and severe anger. That brave man didn't know exactly where the shots were being fired, but he made an extraordinary effort to find where they were located.

California man sent 200 awful computer messages to the father of the 14 yo daughter who was murdered at the high school.

The CA man felt the dad was using this tragedy to politicize increasing gun laws which the CA man objected to.

He was found guilty in Miami of cyber stalking and sentenced to a year in federal jail.

Obviously bad reprehensible behavior,

What is cyber stalking?

It is pretty horrible to mock someone who has lost a child. I am happy he is being punished. The part that enrages me is knowing if the shoe were on the other foot and some leftist were harassing a conservative, they would not have put him in jail.

I guess conditions at the school are still dangerous.

What Scot Peterson did was so much worse than cowardice... he prevented other LEO's from doing their job to close with and engage the shooter. I my mind he does incur liability for doing so.

Then there is this:
Peterson knew that Cruz was nicknamed “Crazy Boy” by campus security guards when he was a student two years before the shooting — and that he was considered by school staff to be the one person who could shoot up the school.

Yet, he did not have Cruz committed for mental treatment before the shooting, Brill argued. And just before the shooting — when Peterson learned Cruz had been spotted back on campus carrying a bag and backpack — the deputy didn't order an immediate lock down.

“His primary reason for being there was for the safety, health and welfare of the students and the faculty,” Brill said of Peterson. “He had a duty to protect the administration, the teachers and students to a variety of unreasonable risks, including active shooters.”

The families and survivors have already settled claims with the FBI — whose agents failed to investigate a warning about Cruz — and the Broward school district for a combined $153 million.
With what we know about the Terror Factory wanting to "keep fear alive" I believe the FBI's roll in all this deserves the closest scrutiny possible.
