Three men with one gun and two knives held 40 tourists hostage for up to two hours on the trail that leads to the Christ statue in Rio. They just kept collecting tourists as they came along the path robbing them and making them stay until they had collected enough, and then released them all at once.
Guns are currently illegal in Brazil
