Elderly Dickinson man was beaten, tied up, house ransacked, by three men who jumped the back fence. Prescription medications stolen.

Wife in wheel chair was not harmed.
Man, that's a fairly new, and nice, subdivision down the road from me!! Bet I won't answer door or check security light trip without caution and protection.
"Nice subdivision". Exactly why it was targeted.
If you were a criminal, would you go rob a poor subdivision? (where people do not have much money)
Would you go rob a trailer park? (where people have plenty of shotguns)
Wouldn't you much rather go rob a liberal neighborhood full of voluntary victims ready to submit and hand over whatever they got?

Criminals aren't exactly smart but they are smart enough to rob the nice neighborhoods.
About 60% Republican around here, and, no bars on any widows. But, times are changing and so are the criminals' tactics and aggressiveness. More and more of these invasions and driveway jackings are starting to happen in neighborhoods once only plagued with occasional car break-ins or maybe an occasional burglary.

8 robberies of shoppers on Westheimer on Black Friday.

3 separate stabbings along Braes Bayou.

4th stabbing victim in the same area that day.

Crime in Houston now involves criminals not satisfied with a single crime, now fearlessly repeat the same crime over and over in the same area.

Or in some cases no bail, out of jail for free. That should attract some more lowlife's to commit crimes.

Two dead one wounded at 5:30 am in Sunnyside. It is Southeast of the Astrodome.

https://www.click2houston.com/news/2019 ... t-riddled/

An elderly woman's home riddled with bullets by a man in a car who knocked on her door and then got back in the car, when she didn't answer, drove a few feet and then got out and emptied the gun on the house.

Neighbor picked up 14 shell casings from the street. Most likely contaminating what little evidence they had. ( however, he could have used a pencil and put them in a baggie, as everyone watches TV )

Clerk at convenience store murdered in Sugarland 4 months ago. Didn’t make this thread.

Suspect arrested in Las Vegas.

Note to self: if I decide to lead a life of crime, try and look boring and ordinary. If you have yellow and orange hair with face tattoos that have your ex girlfriends name, they will be able to identify you even in Las Vegas.

Sad to report that an HPD Seargent was murdered by a man the Seargent was looking for after his girlfriend reported that man was beating her.

The suspect has been charged with capital murder and has a long criminal history.

RIP

Houston area loses its second police officer.

Harris County DA’s Office filed a motion for denial of bond for Tavores Henderson, the man who ran over and killed Nassau Bay Police Department sergeant Kaila Sullivan on Tuesday, fled the scene, and then hid and evaded arrest for two days of a manhunt. Henderson is a serial criminal, was already wanted on a forfeited bond in Montgomery County, and is a documented gang member.

Court Magistrate Colin Amann set the bond at $150K. And LEOs are justifiably outraged. The Houston Police Officers Union wrote:
Should PC Court Magistrate Colin Amann resign, after setting cop killer Tavores Henderson’s bond at $150k? Or should he be fired before he has a chance to resign? None of us voted for this appointed “magistrate” to have a job or to set bonds. Colin Amann has to go.
