Yeah, the mass news media, who LOVE to cause as much division and trouble as they can, are hyping some aspects of the killer's "manifesto". However, he was also into socialism and radical environmentalism. In other words, he's a full-out nutcase. Not one of you folks on here, nor I, nor any other American firearms owner, had anything to do with what that man did. All of his actions were his, and his alone. I refuse to feel even the tiniest bit of guilt, though I do feel disgusted by what he did.

So this article notes that at one mosque 10 were killed but the attackers were driven off when an armed congregant started shooting back.

At the other mosque there were no armed members and three times as many were killed.

He’s too late. We’re already in the trash-talking stages of CW2, and the US is already Balkanized along political, cultural, and racial lines.

Shooter had a license to own 5 guns. So some government official signed off on this shooter after an interview.

I’m going to assume the man who fired at the shooter and chased him off, was illegally carrying.

I don’t think you can carry a pistol in NZ legally. Probably only in a locked box taken from your shooting club to another shooting club and only for a competition. Otherwise I think it can only be at your shooting club.
