However, can there be an aggravated assault or any assault at all if the participants volunteered for the event?
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Although this is a pretty stupid event, let's put things into perspective here:

Idiots with a .22 and a bullet proof vest caught rounds and were bruised.
