An "unstable situation" was unfolding at a Colorado school Tuesday afternoon with reports of shots fired and multiple injuries, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.

Two people were thought to be injured in the incident that took place "at STEM school at Ridgeline and Plaza," the Douglas County Sheriff's Office tweeted.

Authorities responded at 1:53 p.m. local time for a "call of shots fired in school" and deputies are actively working on "identifying and locating shooter(s)," they later added.

On the news tonight they called it a “STEAM” school. For those that don’t know, “STEM” stands for “science, technology, engineering and math”. The “A” in “STEAM” stands for “Arts”. Added by those that couldn’t stand to allow a purely tech subject and needed to dilute it down with something that has no means for determining right from wrong.

In other words, which of these is different from the others? :banghead:

Both suspects identified - one male, one female
https://www.denverpost.com/2019/05/08/s ... -shooting/

Sources: Investigators believe suspects in STEM School shooting stole guns from parents of 1 suspect
https://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/l ... -1-suspect
Sources told Denver7 Tuesday that the motive of the alleged shooters went beyond bullying and involved revenge and anger towards others at the school and that at least one of the suspects was involved in legal and illegal drug use and had been in therapy.

Wonder if Colorado prison system will have to pay for the sex change operation, assuming as a minor she/he goes to jail.

There would not be death penalty for those. Life in prison with no parole.

Several news sources ran articles reporting that students walked out of a vigil held to commemorate fallen student when politicians took to the stage.

"Students in Colorado stormed out of a vigil Wednesday night for the victims of this week’s school shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch after two Democratic politicians took the stage and called for gun control, according to local news reports."

"According to the Denver Post, some of the students who walked out of the vigil on Wednesday night were chanting “mental health.”"

"The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, which helped to organize the vigil, later released a statement apologizing to the offended students.
“We are deeply sorry any part of this vigil did not provide the support, caring and sense of community we sought to foster and facilitate and which we know is so crucial to communities who suffer the trauma of gun violence,” the group said."
