The Georgia "jogger" murder trial is being overshadowed by the Kyle Rittenhouse trial in Wisconsin.

The shooter took the stand and it appears did a pretty good job of defending himself. He was taught in the Coast Guard that hands and fists are weapons. His pick up truck had been burglarized so much he left it unlocked.

He’s toast today under cross examination.
So many lessons for anyone involved in a shooting.
Careful about social media posts, careful in what’s in your statement to officers arriving on scene.

It’s amazing how different Kyle performed under cross exam compared to Travis.

What I've seen the jogger could have waited for the police to arrive, run through the woods, instead he chose to run up and down the road and charge someone holding a shotgun.

Slowly hold hands up. Say don’t shoot. Stand still. Freeze. Turn around and run away (distance is your friend). Keep hand still and where guy with shot gun can see them.

Don’t: reach in you pockets, make sudden moves. Reach behind your back.

In no case run towards someone with a shotgun pointed at you.

There are exceptions. But not here in this case.

In Wisconsin. Not so much in Georgia in my opinion.

They were already tried and found guilty in the media, this was a show trial. Now we get to the sentencing, which I’m sure will reflect the thirst for vengeance of the mob.

From what I read on Georgia law there isn't much wiggle room. Mandatory minimum of life. The only option is the granting of the possability of parol (after 30 years).

Can somebody explain why there are multiple counts of Felony Murder?

Four "other" felonies that were deemed to also result in the death. A couple counts of aggrevated assult, false imprisonment and attempted false imprisonment.
