TX - Lubbock: Two Deputies Stabbed

#1

Post by threoh8 »

Shoplifting suspect ignored verbal commands, deputies attempted to apprehend, fight ensued, officers stabbed, suspect ran across Loop 289. Manhunt, suspect arrested later, treated for K9 bites. One deputy still hospitalized.

Apparently the deputies trailed him across the WM parking lot before trying to physically arrest him.
Suspect has a prior felony conviction.
The sooner I get behind, the more time I have to catch up.

K-9 bites, always nice to hear.

I met a veterinarian dentist one time. I asked about his work. He said he did a lot of work for police departments. K-9 officers have a problem with broken teeth. I was stupid and asked why. He said they break off in suspects bodies a lot. The dogs tend to get over excited. He replaces them with stainless steel teeth. They don't break off. He said a lot of departments bring the dogs in and get the most of the teeth laminated with stainless steel from the beginning as that is less painful for the dog in the long run.

Note to self: never lead a life of crime.

And I hope and pray for a swift recovery for those two LEO's

Bullets can, and often do, miss but dogs don't. Words of wisdom from an uncle who trained K9s decades ago.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Turned in by his grandmother. It seems in a still from the surveillance video that he was wearing a shirt she bought him.

We have a couple of malls posted, and known for the crimes in the parking lots. I avoid as much as possible, and hope I don't print when I have to go to them.
