I'm guessing this was a symbolic thing? I appreciate Wentworth doing it, but if we don't have the votes and the rules (guess they can be changed?) say that it is too late for a bill to pass one chamber and go to the other if it has never passed the orig chamber....

Ellis asked "Why do you keep doing this?"

Wentworth said "because I believe in it"

They are going to try to pass 7 or 8 more bills tonight ... even if SB 354 passed out of Senate, went to House ...HB 750 never made it out of calendars ... they wouldn't get to it in House before time ran out but good move being a squeeky wheel ... could help next time voting out other people since redistricting .... like ummm the issue won't just be going away guys.

Given a choice between helping violent criminals or law-abiding, tax-paying citizens,
it's appalling how many Houston politicians side with the criminals.

Dead.

Unless they can find a germane bill and a sponsor to host the amendment.

I'm going to send Wentworth a nice letter on Tuesday thanking him for doing such a great job on this.

And these Houston politicians are just siding with their constituents.
