With the 2019 Texas Legislative Session only a few days away, the Texas Firearms Coalition Podcast and Short-Shots will be focusing on pending bills. I have just released Short-Shot: HB131 - Rep. Moody's Disguised Firearms Confiscation Bill. The Short-Shot is available on iTunes and Stitcher, as well as the Texas Firearms Coalition website at https://www.texasfirearmscoalition.com/ ... p/podcasts. The website also has a transcript of the Short-Shot with links to HB131 and other laws discussed.

I will be doing Short-Shots on other bills of significance soon.

Even if this bill does get passed the House, which I highly doubt, it won't get passed the Senate. If, by some great mishap, it does end up on the Governor's desk, I'm sure he will veto it without hesitation. I believe Texas has one of the lowest crime rates in the country (someone please correct me if I am wrong). And taking firearms away from law-abiding citizens would do nothing but encourage criminal activity.

And I believe that the Texas Legislature (as a whole, overall) does see it that way.
