WTS: Springfield M1A - SOLD

#1

Post by mcscanner »

Looking to sell local in the DFW area FTF. I have included the inventory list from photobucket to simplify what is in the package. Link included at the end for pictures of the rifle. Down sizing the inventory for items not making it to the range. Very nice rifle with some useful additions and ready for the range. Not looking for trades. Not sure of the rounds fired, but likely under 500. Details about the rifle by model number (MA9222) can be found on the Springfield Armory website. Any questions please ask in PM.

$1000

Thanks for looking.

Mike

UPDATE2: Dropped $100 off the price. Now $1000. This rifle needs a new home!

UPDATE1: Ammo and sling have been spoken for, but I have found an identical sling in the back of the gun safe to the one on the rifle so the sling is still part of the package. I have lowered the price from $1400 to $1100. For anyone looking at owning the commercial version of the M14 this is the one.

Am I the only one that finds it funny that TAM's post of "Satan get thee behind me" is followed by a post from "Devildawg"?

Looks like a beauty. I'm about $1300 short or we'd be meeting this weekend. Sorry.

I hope you find a nice new home for her.

Thanks for the positive comments!

Ammo has been spoken for so the price was reduced to $1100 and edits to original post made.

Absolutely. My M1 needs a companion but having just bought a revolver.

Dear, is that a new firearm?
Err, define "new".

Can't say it new, but very close. :coolgleamA:

I picked 500 rounds thru the rifle and that could be twice what I have really fired. Springfield's have a reputation for difficulty in unmounts the operating rod from the receiver. Removing the rod is like separating two piece of a Chinese puzzle. Hold your mouth right, full moon and Aquarius in the 2nd house. The rod has never been off the rifle as I don't believe enough rounds have been fired to wear the parts to improve the clearance to make it easier. I have tried the last time I cleaned the rifle, no joy.

It is my understanding Springfield suggest you not do break it down very often. It is hard shooting and almost industructible rifle.
