*SOLD* Arisaka Type 2 "Paratrooper" (Temple)
Re: FS: Arisaka Type 99 "Paratrooper" (Temple)
WOW, that’s nice. I wish I could. I have three WWII era rifles. Two American and one Brit. That one would be great and I know where a nice K98 is, but he’s unwilling to sell it yet. I don’t have to $$$ to buy it yet either, but hopefully when he’s ready to sell I will.

Serious suggestion....
Have you considered contacting either Tim at Military Arms Channel or Ian at Forgotten Weapons to see if either of them would be interested in buying? I know that Tim has an interesting Arisaka collection, but to the best of my recollection, has never mentioned a Type 99 Paratrooper; and this kind of variant of a rifle is exactly the sort of thing that would be right up Ian's alley. Either or both would be knowledgeable enough to offer a fair price if they were interested. More importantly, either of them would offer it a good home, and teach others about it.
Just a thought.

I haven’t considered that. If I can’t find a local buyer after a while, I’ll send them a note.
Thanks!
Thanks!

You’re certainly welcome. It had simply occurred to me that this is probably a rare but historically significant rifle. A museum type of collection would be a good place for it. Is it a 6.5 or a 7.7mm?
