Brownells CCI Mini-Mag .22 LR

#1

Post by Rafe »

This is probably a short-term offer, but I didn't see an expiration. CCI Mini-Mags have always been my fave in .22 semi-autos, but it's been a while since I've seen them for a decent price. This is a combo offer and to get full value you'll need to buy at least 2,000 rounds. Here's the breakdown of the order I just placed, in stock & not backordered (edited to add because it will make a difference: these are the 40 gr bullets, not the 36 gr; 1,235 fps not 1,260 fps; muzzle energy 135 ft. lb. not 127...edited to add...again because I just got an email from Brownells saying the coupon code VDD expires tonight, but they've been posting X-off-for-$99 type coupons lately so others may be showing up) https://www.brownells.com/aspx/search/p ... &pid=85016:

$129.80 - 20 boxes, CCI Mini-Mag .22 LR Blue Box (reusable plastic tray), 100 rnds per box, $6.49 per box
-$10.00 - Discount with coupon code VDD
$0.00 - Free standard ground shipping with the coupon code
-----------
$119.80 - Total from Brownells
-$25.96 - Rebate from CCI for rimfire purchases 1/3/2018 - 3/31/2019, rebate is cost of 1 box for every 5 purchased up to $200
-----------
$93.84 - Final total, fully burdened (net cost, shipping, tax)
$0.04692 - Final cost per round

Hope I'm not repeating something & that this might be useful to others. I didn't want to order more than 2K rnds because I really didn't stop to check prices & availability elsewhere. The coupon code is valid only on an order $99 or more & saved $20 counting the free shipping. But based on finding Mini-Mags the past couple of years, I figured 94 bucks wasn't much of a risk. At least my 10/22 will be happy. ;-)

That's a good price. VDD expired probably yesterday as it's no longer valid. Their current offering today is VB5 for free shipping above $49.

Thanks for sharing!

So today, Wednesday, if you buy 10 boxes for $64.90 you get free shipping with code VB5 and a rebate of $12.98 so basically $52 for 10 boxes. Sounds like a deal to me. Rebate info: https://promotions.vistaoutdoor.com/EN/US/Home/Brand/20

Thanks, guys. Email from Brownells says that the code today 2/14 is HUB for 10% off + free shipping on orders over $99. BTW, my order shipped yesterday at 16:30, so less than 24 hours after the order was placed. Might even get here in time for weekend plinking.

Ok, I ordered 16 which put it just over $100 so 10% off and free shipping and 3 rebates brings it to $4.63 each net. Not bad for good ammo.

I'm waiting on 20 boxes. The rebate is good on all their rim fire ammo, so I'm looking for some good prices on .22 WMR ammo, too!

Thanks for the info. I used code NEP tonight for $10 off $75 and free shipping. I ordered a mix of the 40gr solids and 36gr HP. The HP aren't on sale, but with the discount code, I think I made out OK compared to Academy.

My shipment arrived with 10 out of 20 boxes broken with varying amounts of damage. The box was taped up extensively with two holes in it. Two boxes of shells had the ends with the UPC's missing and another box had all the cartridges out of it. Only 83 loose rounds in the shipping carton with another one that was smashed. I called Brownell's Customer Service and spoke with Lexie. I was expecting to be sent a return shipping label, but instead they are sending three replacement boxes. Great service that is even better than I'd hoped for. I have been ordering from them for a long time and have always had good service, but this is just outstanding. :thumbs2: :thumbs2:

I have a UPS delivery of .22 WMR arriving today from Ammunition Depot . I hope it's treated that FedEx. Ammo Depot had CCI 40gr JHP .22 WMR for $7.99/Bx 50.

Mine is scheduled to deliver sometime today, hopefully less worse for the wear than yours. That's good they took care of it so well.

I hope so, too. FedEx wasn't too kind in handling my box.

"rlol" I'm batting zero for ammo deliveries! Several boxes of the .22 WMR had cracks and one was broken with shells spilled! Maybe I should stick to face to face purchases!

Man! Do your delivery guys have something against you?

I got 20 boxes of the LR today and a couple boxes of .45 bullets for reloading that were perfect also...

Honestly, when it comes to delivered ammo I've been real lucky!
