BILL STATUS UPDATE: 4/8/13

#1

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

HOUSE BILLS:

47, 48, 508, 553, 572, 698, 801, 928, 1009, 1076, 1314, 1344, 1349, 1421, 1872, 2535, 3143, 3218.

SENATE BILLS:

11, 17, 164, 231, 299, 481, 864, 987, 1348, 1400.

Remember, the color-coded version of the 2013 Bill Status Report is on the Texas Firearms Coalition website. I've added some color coding to the current status of a bill, where appropriate to call attention to a problem.

Charles, you've got a couple of typos on the Bill Status Report page - "Criminan Justice Committee"

Please excuse my ignorance, as this is the first year that I've paid close attention to Texas legislation.

Is there a specific date that basically tells us that, if a bill is still stuck in Calendars, it is all but dead?

I'm going to write an article tonight and send a call-to-action tomorrow. We need to put pressure on Chairman Pickett to get this bill heard.
