Appleseed has launched their new pistol program.

I bought targets on their website and tried them out.

There is a 13 round Pistol "Redcoat" target that is untimed and a 40 round PQT qualification target that is timed. (link)

Precision is required. These targets are shot at 7 yards and the PQT requires reloads, target transitions as well as strong & support hand shooting. There is no holster work.

Shooting the drills was a good guided practice session. I started with a .22 pistol. When I was satisfied with the results I switched to an M&P9 and shot the courses of fire with 9mm.

The Texas instructors are trained. While there is no official announcement yet, I suspect that the first Texas class will be held in the greater DFW area.
