Is it legal to shoot guns in a National Forrest?

Target shooting is allowed on national forest or grassland unless restricted. Check your local ranger district for more information about local restriction.

Be sure any target is legal game in season or a target that has a safe dirt backstop. Don't ever hang a target on a tree in a Natl. Forest.
