"DIY"???

#1

Post by RJGold »

Not sure this fits in to the DIY category but...

I got this DM Bullard holster with the XDS I bought. I have a Bullard holster for my Browning Hi Power but rarely carry it because of the size. I've never been a fan of the metal clips that Bullard uses and really don't like the leather belt straps either.

I put these Comp-Tac Kydex clips on the Bullard and they work great.

Again, not sure it qualifies as DIY but thought I'd share.

My apologies to Mr. Bullard for customizing his holster...

I like it but I'm one those people that never leave anything well enough alone.

I like that idea. I might have to order a pair for my "hybrid" that uses metal clips and see if they work. The metal ones make too much noise for me. That Bullard looks fantastic.

Well, I have several D. M. Bullard dual carry holsters too and like them for the fit and the fact there are metal clips. I had other holsters with kydex clips and broke them all with normal use.

I HATE the metal clips. With as much as I drive they cut holes in my shirts. I switched to the kydex J or C clips and problem fixed. And with thise clips they don't break like other kydex belt clips.

Also....I usually just make my own

I love the metal clips on my dm bullard also, I've been using my dual carry for over a year with no issues.

Besides the advantage of the metal clips I have to mention the fact that I wore out other holsters much faster than those I bought from D. M. Bullard.

I enjoyed my DM Bullard, until I found the Milt Sparks VM2...
