XDs 4.0 popularity?

#1

Post by TexasComputerDude »

I recently fell in love with the XDs 4.0 45acp. I was wondering if this was a popular pistol. I went to try to find holsters for it and my favorite manufacturer said they had no plans to make them. Is this pistol just not popular enough for Comp-Tac to make a mold?

I haven't shot a 3.3 yet. I felt like the increased sight radius would be more my style. I have held one though.

Also, I really only like comp-tac holsters, and they have no plans to make a 4.0 holster unless more people show interest.

I have an XDs 4.0 in 9mm. CooksHolsters.com makes holsters specific for the 3.3 and 4.0. I just got their IWB Tuckable holster and it is fantastic! I never thought an all kydex holster could be so comfortable. It's a perfect fit and draws incredible smooth. I like it better than my Crossbreed Minituck.

I think the biggest problem is i want a holster with leather loops. The metal wears my seat.

High noon holsters has a variety with both leather and metal clips in both leather and hybrid styles. I have one of those foe my 9mm 4". I have ordered a alien gear holster for it as well, but still a couple of weeks until that one comes in so I don't have any experience yet with AG.

I have the 3.3 and I like it ok, it is a thumpy little booger. I have moved to the Glock26 with laser for daily carry

Take a look at the Winthrop holsters. I've had a couple and really like them.

Nice. Does the top of the holster stay open when reholstering?
