Yes, as long as that state's license is recognized by Texas.

With respect to SB273, and not posting what would otherwise not be off limits with improper 30.06, did they extend the context to include postings of places like
Pasadena Conv Center, during Gun Shows, or other such places where they post?

I know "the insurance companies" require it, at least in some cases, but does SB273 make it improper?

I noticed that SB273 only covers 30.06 signs. Governmental entities are free to post all the invalid 30.07 signs they want to, without anyone having recourse. This might be a good thing to fix next session.

Didn't SB273 pass before HB910? A little difficult to address something that didn't exist at the time.

I'm not saying that it was intentional or that they should have necessarily forseen it. I'm just saying it should be fixed.

If it's a problem, then it will be fixed. I suspect that governmental agencies won't push the envelope, but some might be contemptuous of the legislature. If so, then perhaps the file can go up to $25,000 per day.

What about lowering the penalty for carrying past 30.06 to a class C Misdemeanor?

Not a separate bill... part of HB 910, but a good catch on your part.

What has the Governor actually signed at this point?

Are the effective dates January 1, 2016 in each case?

In most cases 01 Sep 15. Mr 1337's post on first page of thread has links to each bill.

Any word from the Governor's office as to when he will sign (assuming he is going to of course)?

That article is from 2011.

BATFE did state that they were looking into removing CLEO signoff requirements after talking to some suppressor groups since trusts didn't need them, but then they doublecrossed us and went to get CLEO on ALL form 1s/4s.

I don't think so. As I understand it Campus Carry becomes law on Sept 1, 2016, a year from this September. Open carry is lawful on Jan 1, 2016

SECTION 6. Sections 46.03(a) and (c), Penal Code, as
amended by this Act, and Sections 46.03(j) and (k) and 46.035(l),
Penal Code, as added by this Act, apply only to an offense committed
on or after September 1, 2016. An offense committed before
September 1, 2016, is governed by the law in effect when the offense
was committed, and the former law is continued in effect for that
purpose. For purposes of this section, an offense was committed
before September 1, 2016, if any element of the offense occurred
before that date.
SECTION 7. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
