I love how they keep talking about these amendments are to help "keep people safe".

I would, on every single one, simply say: "Allowing our most law-abiding subset of adults to carry firearms makes everyone more safe... I move to table"
"The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant, it's just that they know so much that isn't so." - Ronald Reagan, 1964

I love the ones when Birdwell gives them a piece of common sense and they just say "I close"

They had some liberal college say it would cost them tens of millions of dollars to put cameras in every hall, biometric gun safes in every single dorm bedroom and faculty office, metal detectors at every "unallowed location" and a bunch of other unnecessary garbage just to make it look like this was going to be a huge cost problem and derail the bill.

Ellis amendment is not germane. What a waste of the Senate's time and money.

Birdwell requested the vote for final passage postponed until tomorrow.

Any idea why?

They did that on SB17 too, I didn't get it there either.

So what were all the amendments? Mytlo shows 3 passed, but I only see 2 discussed in the thread. Was there another?
