At 4:41 a.m. Thursday, police were called to a home in 1200 block of Short 11th Street. Officers found the front window of a vehicle was broken and the house’s front door was damaged.

Police said a male — 15 to 20 years old — had attempted to force open the front door. The homeowner, who was legally armed with a pistol, warned the stranger that she had a gun, but he continued to break in. The woman then fired the gun, prompting the male to flee on foot. It was unknown if he was wounded.

Lincoln police on Thursday also reported several vehicles and homes in the same area were damaged, including a vehicle set on fire.
If you see a skinny white dude with shoulder length hair in red shorts but no shirt and no shoes, running away from Illinois, the police would like to know. He's going to have a tough time finding a place to eat.

He may also have a stain near the seat of his pants. Evidently, he doesn't listen to women, when they tell him they have a gun. :biggrinjester:
