Don't know the laws there, but it seems it might have turned into assault w/ deadly weapon - the weapon being the car. Hard to tell from a 137 word article.

The men also denied hitting anyone with the car.

However, security tape showed a vehicle striking someone, according to the police report.

Marysville police Cmdr. Mark Thomas on Monday said it’s unclear if the other people involved fired their guns lawfully, as they left before law enforcement got there...The department is asking those who shot at the car to come forward and provide statements.
Sounds like Maryville needs a better police "Commander". Based on his statement he sounds incompetent.
