Wounded robbertaken to hospital in critical condition, other three “young males” escaped. Several shots fired, unknown if by robbers or citizen, unknown if any other robbers hit.

Robbers came in at “gunpoint”, citizen lost his wallet and cash to robbers, so sounds like shooting did not kick off immediately.

Agreed. The comments are indicative of the underlying problem facing American youth. Parents who don’t want to accept or take responsibility for the actions of their children, and the idolizing of certain genres of music that champions murder, demoralizing women, drug use and any and all other illegal activities are among the issues America has. Trumps alleged use of the grab them by the blank phrase pales in comparison by light years to the words and expressions used in such genres of music today, which kids live by and die trying to emulate.

And when I say kids or youth I’m not targeting one specific race: all races from all parts of America are negatively impacted by the same issues mentioned in my previous post. Money and fame over family and morals is projected as a value that is to be sought after by tv programs & social media instead of love for your family, country and fellow man.

The good citizen has to maintain high level of alert since the criminals have his name and address from his wallet. Hopefully they learned from their experience and won’t try to get revenge on him.

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The Wichita Police Department arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with two armed robberies. They are still looking for two suspects.

The robberies both happened Friday. The first occurred at the Family Dollar Store in the 900 block of South Woodlawn. The second happened at the B & H Fast Trip in the 2700 block of South Seneca.

A little more detail on the robbery in the OP:

At approximately 2:45 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the B & H Fast Trip. They found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. He died at the hospital. Police said the 16-year-old boy and three others entered the store, pointed guns at and employee and customers, and demanded money. The suspects took money and cigarettes. During the robbery, 42-year-old man, a customer, pulled out his gun and fired multiple shots toward the suspects. One struck the 16-year-old boy. The other three suspects fled.
